Hey, thanks very much for the compliment! At least you didn’t crush the eggs.

It’s better to help people than garden gnomes.
Love your blog!
PS is it possible to be too deep?!?
Only for shallow people! As you can see, I have given credit where it’s due- to the aptly described asshole.
Hey, the link for your witty site didn’t work. Darn!
I like your stuff. Makes me smile. And I enjoy a lot of the same things as you…yay! (Especially Amelie!)
Testimony out there, sister! Glad you liked the Op-Ed piece. I sense a follow-up in there somewhere π
I’m going to try and work ‘era of the phoenix’ into a business meeting, and see what happens. Heehee.
Too many posts to comment on each. So, here’s everything in one go:
Dude, this blog is F*****g A! π really! The posts I read reminded me of Terry Pratchett and Salman Rushdie. Sense covered in non-sense! Non-stop roller-coaster on steroids! Hell, more like speedy gonzalez on steroids! I would have said, the road runner on steroids, but that chika rarely says anything, except, “Beep Beep!” Although, the non-sense is very hard to sift through to get the sense.
A satire, a lament, a tantrum covered coated in brightly colored words, whimsical language, musical tones…. Like a drunken master tip-toeing over the heads of his opponents, laughing gaily the whole time!
hmm…. come to think of it, are my thoughts racing coz of the posts or coz I’m listening to Mozart’s Requiem collection? Wacky and hilarious posts? or the rising and falling crescendos of the music? Maybe, both!
Hats off to the writer of this blog: Alexia! π (hope the name’s correct… ;P )
Dude, this is, like, the most rad description of my writing ever! Thank you! And respect yourself. And yes, it’s Alexia.
PS: Swearing is not only acceptable on this blog, it’s practically mandatory.
oh ok. “Dude this blog is FUCKING A!…” π
Alphabetical bookshelves… yeah I’m with you on that sista!
Hello,
May I please have the password? Xoxo. π
My bookshelves are alphabetized as well. =)
I’m with you on so many of these things: Barney Stinson, fairy lights, ice cream, punctuation, and quotes.
Only I prefer grocery shopping drunk instead of hungover.
That.is.genius. And so going on my list of ambitions.
“Memory of a goldfish with Alzheimerβs”– we could totally be friends…. wait? what was I talking about? I forgot. who are you? who am I?
loving your blog so far!
Thank you!!
So excited to read more of your blog! I love your writing style! π
“The act of pleasuring someone by deliberately exploiting the similarities between similar sounding words”
That’s funny. π
I like the pics you got on top. The last three especially. The first one… Not sure what that is.
Dude, I don’t know either; I just thought it looked pretty. I love the quote. Makes me sounds like a word whore.
Thanks for dropping by!
Word whore or not… dig it. π
Word whores of the world unite!
word whore
π brilliant!
Going through some old emails today, I came across one from you, a comment you left on my blog, telling me I am legendary.
Ha!
Just wanted to swing by and tell you that, no dear, you are the legend. SO much more legendary than me.
So there . . .
π
Word π
freaking 25th januray! Shit, I somehow thought it was 23rd.
Your dad’s b’day on the same day is cool.
“It means a lot of pretty panties are worn only to bed” – funny. π
You don’t eat fish, too? Wow, you’re really missing out.
“I think men tend to be amused by my temper” – We do, generally. Find it very exciting.
“You never know what youβre going to get” – Cute π
Missing out? Hardly. I do miss tuna but I survive. How am I missing out on something when its my own decision to avoid it?
Made Lexitini punch last night. It rocked. I drank most of it.
Word! π
Love love love your blog π It’s very honest and there’s something inspiring about that.
Well, thaaaank you! And welcome!
you’re just too good to be true i guess. you are the person who i can tell my problems π
Hi, Alexia. You have been quiet (quite?). Me as well. But if this finds you in time it is just a note – a reminder – to set this year to full sail behind you…a kiss of flame before it goes.
I β€ your blog. I've moved to a new city (well… 6 months ago, and I'm only 4 hours from home but its still weird) and I just read a few of your posts about feeling happy but a bit empty, and they were like reading my own thoughts. you write really well!
Also I wrote a creative dissertation for my degree and one of the characters was called Lexi π I don't know what that has to do with anything.
Hope you're good! I'm going to check back π

heycrin, I moved to a new city also…just over 2 years ago from the area I had lived in my entire life. As is the narrative du jour in America in recent years, it was for work and it was alone. I did not know a soul and I thrive on intimate and open friendships, so though I had traveled extensively and had no culture shocks, I also had no experience being without the personal connections back “home” and no frame of reference for establishing new ones here. All of that to say, “Yeah.” One of those close friends introduced me to Lexi’s writing, and though no writer is everyone’s cup of Irish coffee, Lexi’s words in various places and forms have been an oasis of understanding for me. It’s difficult to explain how or why or in what context, but they just have been and continue to be (and I know/follow many accomplished writers who’s words fail to have that affect). You were a fortunate cookie (wheee, puns!) to find your way here and I wish you luck in your new home!
“I thrive on intimate and open friendships.” God, YES! I splutter when I feel coerced to discuss drivel. I’ve noticed that once you open yourself up energetically though, the right people come along.
Hahaha re: puns!!
Crin! Corinne? Thank you very much for your comment. I am pleased to hear that my words may have helped someone in some way. It is hard moving to new places, harder than people think, but the hardest part is that you never get to move away from yourself!
I wish you the best of luck in your new life and expect some updates on settling in!
Hi there! I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award!
You can check it out along with other info here, if you wish: http://wp.me/p30cnC-6h
