One-hundred and Thirty-two: Flood

I want to write the way it rains:
incessant and merciless,
snarling on the sidewalks.
I want to write the way
it kisses my windows,
unapologetically passionate.
I want to write as if
I wasn’t scared to go outside,
as if I wouldn’t mind if
the rain peppered my dirty hair.
as if it was alright that
today is a day without sunshine.
I want to write the way it pours
because, right now, I’m flooding inside.
